My husband and I are here now, we are Canadian of Italian descent we landed in Rome a couple days ago where we stayed for 2 nights at a 4 1/2 star hotel that was so bad I would not recommend to my enemies (I think they must have payed the Godfather for the review it was not even a 1 start as far as we are concerned) thank God our second stop was here booked this hotel on line not knowing what to expect and we are incredibly surprised that the staff here are extraordinaire the place is incredibly spotless, the food in the restaurant is priced well and delicious...I would stay here for the whole month but have booked in Sicily for the remaining of our stay. I give this hotel a 5 star rating for sure...We are truly WOWed by this experience and recommend it to anyone who enjoys the beach and private pool friendly professionalism in all aspects..we will return for longer next time. we stayed here a few days the last week of febuary. was quiet this time of year. the staff spoke english and were very helpful . great breakfast buffet. nice location easy to get to amalfi coast,paestum, and Vesuvius. would definitely stay here again they gave us a brochure with directions which was helpful. Uns hat es in diesem Hotel sehr gut gefallen und könnes es nur weiterempfehlen! Die Badezimmer sind stets sauber gewesen und die Zimmer verfügen über eine Kompfortdusche mit mehreren Düsen.Das italienische Frühstücksbuffet bietet viele süsse Leckereien, aber auch eine kleine Auswahl an Brötchen, Brot, Wurst und Käsesorten. Cerealien, Früchte und Joghurts sind ebenfalls vorhanden, der Service war ausgezeichnet.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Olimpico. We wanted to stay on the coast without the business of a tourist city. The hotel was clean and the service was great. They offer a free shuttle to and from the city center, train and ferries. Saved a ton in cab fare. Breakfast was included, omelets,fruits,meats...more than enough choices. A beautiful pool, clean beach and outdoor dining if you choose. The staff was very friendly and helpful to all our inquiries and needs. I would highly recommend Hotel Olimpico! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Accueil chaleureux et très attentionné, cuisine délicieuse, buffet de petit-déjeuner très copieux. Les chambres sont bien agencées et très propres. La plage privée est très pratique, juste de l'autre côté de la rue, et très bien tenue. On y trouve toutes les commodités nécessaires : douches, toilettes, bar, chaises longues et parasol, baignade surveillée. On a également apprécié la grande piscine, le cadre est joli, jardin soigné, espace de jeux pour les enfants à proximité du restaurant extérieur et de la piscine. We stayed at the Olimpico this month as a family of 5. This was our 2nd visit having stayed last year and we do not usually visit the same place twice, but this is a hotel which strives to the highest quality standards and always tries to meet the needs of their guests.

We arrived into Salerno centre at around 8:30pm following our flight and in spite of the hotel shuttle bus not having a scheduled pick up at that time the hotel owner, Gaetano, kindly made arrangements for us to be picked up. On the subject of the shuttle bus, it is a very useful addition to the services of the hotel itself as it’s based just outside Salerno in Pontecagnano, so the shuttle provides the opportunity to visit the attractions and restaurants in Salerno, as well as being transported to the port where you can go to places like Naples, Capri, Amalfi & Positano. We used the shuttle on a number of occasions and it takes no more than 10-15 mins to get to Salerno. There are a number of drop off and pick up time slots, just make sure you book the times you wish to travel on a day ahead otherwise slots can get fully booked. The main driver, Gennaro, is very friendly and will always offer a hand with luggage, answer any questions about Salerno and have a chat about Italy generally.

The hotel itself is very clean, modern and well appointed. There is also a private beach across the road from the hotel, swimming pool, tennis courts and kids play area which are all free to use with deckchairs, towels, tennis rackets etc all provided. This is in addition to an onsite restaurant, pizzeria and the aforementioned shuttle service. Our quadruple room was also clean and well equipped with a full size bath, shower, cable television and balconies with chairs, which is well suited to families. It is rare to find a hotel with this many features in the Salerno area which are all so well maintained and available at a reasonable price, therefore it does ti

We just spent 5 wonderful days at Hotel Olimipico. It is a perfect place for families we had 3 children under the age of 12 and they all had a great time. There is a play area for the children, tennis, pool and the private beach is across the street. The staff went above and beyond especially the bartender that made amazing cappuccinos and the shuttle driver who was so friendly. We did not rent a car and we had no problem visiting all the sites the coast had to offer, ferries to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, etc... We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends or anyone wanting to have a great vacation on the Italian coast.

Just stayed at the hotel after a few days in Rome. So easy to get to and perfect base to see Pompeii and Amalfi Coast. Train from Rome took two hours and were picked up at station by hotels shuttle bus as promised. The hotel is clean , welcoming , fantastic service and has a lovely pool and private clean beach just across the road. We have young kids who played happily on ping pong , boules and tennis available free of charge and all the staff we met were great. Although half term holidays here in England the hotel was lovely and quiet - lots of people staying but never felt crowded . We didn't hire a car but had no need to - the shuttle mini bus runs so frequently and took us to the station where we could get to Pompeii for about 18 euros ( for five of us) , took us to the port where a boat to Amalfi cost 7 euros for adult or 5.50 for kids and to the bus to naples which was also 7 euros. I think the hotel is great value for money - bar open all day and snacks available too. We didn't eat at the hotel every night as there is a cheaper alternative just opposite over the road - it was nice to have a choice, and although theres not much else around the hotel its so easy to travel from there that we didn't need to . We stayed at the Olimpico from 25th to 30th April 2012, and were very impressed with the hotel. On arrival, we were given a free upgrade to a room with a balcony and gorgeous view over the pool and sea. All of the staff were so kind and helpful, and the front desk staff sorted out a problem we had with our WiFi access straight away. The breakfast was delicious, and there was a huge selection of food. The free shuttle bus was always on time and very easy to find. Abbiamo prenotato questo hotel da Roma a pochi giorni prima un weekend di vacanza. Tutti la Amalfi e Positano alberghi erano già prenotato, così abbiamo pensato che questo hotel aveva una piscina, e stava guidando distanza dalle nostre posizioni desiderate. Avevamo una bella camera per quattro (due bambini) -- una rarità in Europa, dove è possibile trovare una camera che raramente dispone di spazi per bambini o vi richiedono di prenotare una seconda camera. La nostra camera era spaziosa, nuova e pulita. Come è noto, il personale era gentile e disponibile. La colazione a buffet era varia e abbondante. C'è anche un servizio navetta per Sorrento, ma siamo arrivati al porto e abbiamo preso il traghetto per Amalfi. Un giorno ad Amalfi ci ha reso grata per aver scelto la costa meno affollata. Bill eravamo amici per Amalfi era piena di gente, e siamo stati contenti di tornare all'Hotel Olimipico dove è stato rilassante e c'era spazio per respirare. C'è un sacco di ristoranti economici lungo la strada, sull'acqua, dove avrete la vista della costa, ma ad una frazione del costo. Ho anche temuto che, se l'hotel era pieno, che ci sarebbe stata una mancanza di spiaggia delle sedie a sdraio accanto alla piscina, ma c'erano molti. Tutto il tempo che abbiamo soggiornato presso l'hotel, c'era un equipaggio di manutenzione piantare fiori e mantenere il posto pulitissimo e. Questo posto offre un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e un meraviglioso soggiorno rilassante. I miei bambini hanno apprezzato molto anche il tavolo da ping pong, il piccolo parco giochi, i frullati al bar, e una piscina profonda che si poteva anche fare una nuotata. We stayed in this hotel during the off-season, late March 2012. This hotel was perfect for our needs--specifically, a base for exploring Pompeii, Paestum, Herculaneum, Amalfi, and the Abruzzo by auto (and you DO need an auto if you are staying in this hotel, which is on the coast road well south of the Salerno city limits). Very clean, very modern, very stylish, very luxe, great breakfast, friendly, attentive and competent staff. One of the very nicest hotels we have had in 10 trips to Italy since 1994. We found this hotel in TA and we booked it because we wanted some days of relax on the beach after our busy days travelling through Italy. At first sight, the hotel seemed to me different from the pictures I saw in their website and was a little bit disappointed, but then my expectactions were totally overcome! First, the hotel provides a free shuttle service from and to the center of Salerno, which is great - the timetables are very convenient and the drive is absolutely polite and nice. The area around in the hotel was a little dirty (I think that was because we our out of the summer season) and the beach wasn't always very clean, but the fact that we only have to cross the street to reach it was excellent. The hotel has sunbeds and sunhats for its guests, as well as towels. The beach was very calm and the sea with clean, blue and warm water and a very beautiful view to the Costiera Amalfitana.
Our room had plenty of space, was quite clean and had free wi-fi, just like all the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, but the restaurant closed for lunch and dinner at the end of September (summer season end). But, as they have the free shuttle, you can eat in Salerno, as there are many good restaurants there.
The staff was very polite, attentive and really nice, always giving helpful advice. They make you fell good and make their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

è una struttura di categoria superiore alle 4 stelle perchè dotata dei più pregiatissimi comfort ,... dal televisore LCD 32 Pollici in ogni camera , ai servizi veramente eccezionali del Personale di Servizio !!!!

A beautiful facility, large and very clean rooms - on the ocean side, fantastic views and all for a price that has to be one of the best deals in Italy!!

The staff are fantastic - friendly and will do anything to help. The first sign of the service, was the shuttle from the train station to the hotel - the hotel is about 15 Kms south of the city, but they hotel has a shuttle that will take you just about anytime and pick you up - just ask. And there is a great bus service right outside the hotel door. We were there for 4 days and did not have to worry about taxis at all.

We stayed at Hotel Olimpico as a base from which to explore the lesser traveled Cilento Coast. Thanks to the very helpful tips at reception, we were able to find some unusual destinations along the coastline that leads south from Salerno. Apart from the famous and impressive Greek (!) ruins at Paestum, we visited a buffalo mozzarella maker at Paestum (live buffalo graze in the meadow near the dairy), as well as a great olive oil mill and restaurant perched high above the coast at S. Mauro Cilento. Though Salerno was badly damaged during WWII its downtown area was attractive, especially on a Saturday evening around 6:00 p.m. when the whole town seemed to be out strolling on their "passegiata". The hotel complex is located a few km south of Salerno, it was no problem reaching the hotel by car but they offered us a free shuttle service into town as well. The port of Salerno also has regular ferryboat departures for destinations on the Amalfi coast such as Amalfi and Positano. Our room was of excellent standard and offered a fair view of the sea (apart from some unfortunate looking buildings across the street). Service and breakfast were very good and the reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful with info on excursions. From Trip Advisor December 2011

We spent two nights at the Olimpico as a break on our way to Puglia.  Nicely renovated large rooms, comfortable with well-equipped and clean bathroom.  We enjoyed lounging on the bar/patio.  Hotel has a very good restaurant with an exceptional breakfast.  We had all our meals at the hotel.  
Grounds are pretty with variety of facilities,  like the bocce court, which we used.  There is easy access to the private beach.  Staff was friendly and helpful. We definitely would return and recommend the hotel. From Trip Advisor October 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your accommodation - all three couples were comfortable in every way while enjoying spacious, modern, immaculate rooms. Special kudos to our shuttle driver Salvatore (he was fabulous and we told him so!) and of course Giuseppe (Joe) at the front desk - both were always available to do what they could to help us with our plans to enjoy the sites available to us while we used Salerno as a base. We did our research first so knew we were a 20 minute drive from Salerno and also what would be required to make our trips to Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, etc....all went off without a hitch thanks to the help of the hotel staff with train and boat schedules. We didn't get to enjoy the little bit of beach reserved for the hotel as a storm had just gone through the area and it was near the end of the season but the pool was lovely. Also due to being late Sept (many of the restaurants nearby closed for the season) and the fact we did not have a car rented we were limited to where we could eat at evening - that being said the hotel restaurant was good - we ate there 3 out of our 4 evenings in Salerno. By the way the buffet breakfast each morning was fabulous!

Ottima struttura ubicata a pochi metri dal mare. Adatto sia a famiglie con bambini come la nostra che a coppie. Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana a settembre con la famiglia e devo dire che ci siamo trovati molto bene. Ottimo l'albergo da poco ristrutturato , pulitissimo , colazione internazionale di buon livello e ristorante più che discreto per un albergo turistico . Personale sempre gentile e a disposizione .
Servizio navetta perfetto per raggiungere stazone o imbarchi . La costiera amalfitana è meglio raggiungerla in traghetto che in macchina , le cose migliarano dalla parte Sorrentina . Capri è ovviamente la bella Capri delle cartoline , noleggiatevi uno scooter per raggiungere le quattro o cinque località da manuale del buon turista. L' albergo è anche in buona posizione per la costa Cilentina , anzi ottima, ma siamo andati solo fino a Paestum , 15 minuti di macchina .

I spent a very pleasant holiday in Hotel Olimpico with my husband and an adult daughter. If you search for a relaxing holiday in a quiet place, without the sound of a ‘night life’ but still with a possibility to see some nice or historical places around (we made it to visit Pompei and Capri, but there’s more to see around for sure), Hotel Olimpico is the right place for you. The hotel is very clean, staff is helpful and friendly, overall atmosphere makes you to feel at home. The hotel restaurant is simply excellent, you can test the typical Italian food with a lot of vegetables and seafood, so that you will not want to eat anywhere else, although, if you’d really miss pizza, there are a couple of smaller shops around. You can also use the free hotel shuttle to go to the nearby Salerno and spend your evening there. The beach is small, but clean with a warm shower and there was no problem with the number of sun beds or umbrellas, which are available for free. The hotel pool is not big but clean and relaxing, again – enough of sun beds and umbrellas are provided. If you plan to travel to this part of Italy, hotel Olimpico is a very good choice. Sono passate solo poche settimana dalla nostra mini vacanza e porto con me un ricordo piacevole,grazie alle disponibilità dello staff e alla tranquillità del posto!
Nonostante ci fosse stata assegnata una stanza nella struttura adiacente all'albergo,i confort non sono mancati.La nostra camera era a due passi dalla piscina e dal campo da tennis,ben insonorizzata,quasi come a stare in un mini condominio moderno.
Personale davvero qualificato,a partire dalla receptionist,fino alle inservienti molto gentili e disponibili.Pulizia eccellente,colazione abbondante e ben fornita,parcheggio gratuito così come l'ingresso alle varie strutture: piscina,spiaggia ecc!
Al momento del ceck out ci è stato offerto l'ingresso alla piscina per tutto il tempo che volevamo e in più un piccolo sconto sul conto per il pagamento in contanti!

Hotel Olimpico is located right outside of Salerno across the street from the beach. The hotel has a free shuttle service that runs between the hotel, train station and port. It is a good base for going to Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii... and the hotel has information on shuttle times and prices. Free WiFi , great pool, and there is a restaurant. Service was excellent from the hotel management, shuttle driver and restaurant staff. Free Breakfast is also available. The rooms are very clean and good size bathrooms. Trip Advisor August 2011

Das Klima ist sehr sonnig, rundherum gibt es auch kulturell sehr viel zu sehen, Ausflüge per Bus, Bahn und Schiff sind ohne grossen Probleme möglich (Paestum, Vesuv, Salerno, Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Cilento, etc.). Die Mitarbeiter des Hotel Olimpico sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Zimmer und die Hotelanlage sind sehr gepflegt. Dies ist ein Ort, wo Familien mit Kindern sich sehr wohl fühlen werden. Es hat einen schönen Pool, einen kleinen Spielplatz und das ganze Hotel ist mit einem Zaun aus Pflanzen umschlossen, so dass man sehr viel Privatspähre hat. Ausserhalb des Hotels ist während der Saison "Ramba Zamba", sodass es für Leute, die Ruhe suchen, bessere Orte gibt. Allerdings sind die Zimmer sehr gut isoliert. Das Esses ist typisch italienisch und sehr gut. Die Adresse ist in der Hochsaison nicht günstig aber ihr Geld wert. Ich würde jederzeit wieder Ferien im Hotel Olimpico verbringen. We stayed at the Hotel Olimpico in July 2011 for 1 week. The staff were very helpful indeed, in particular Gaetano ( I think he was the manager) he provided an additional shuttle service for us, as we were attending a family wedding in the area.
The Hotel was always spotlessly clean, both public areas and rooms. The food in the restaurant was lovely, although I would have liked more options on the menu.
My 3 1/2 year old daughter loved the pool, which again was always very clean and sunbeds were always available. The private beach was also a big hit, with sunbeds readily available, there were lots of beach sellers (lucky lucky men) selling all-sorts of things, including drinks and refreshments.

il giardino e' ben curato,la piscina e' riscaldata e c'e sempre un cameriere pronto,il massimo si raggiunge poi al ristorante,con menu' alla carte e i piatti preparati con maestria dallo shef,la colazione e' quella internazionale calda e fredda.

I spent my days lounging in the balcony in my room, swimming in the still waters of the private beach at sunset, watching it go down behind the moutains, & enjoying delicious candlelit dinners under the large, white, poolside cabana. We arrived at the train station and were picked up by the hotel shuttle (we called the hotel the day before we arrived to make arrangements). The staff at the Hotel Olimpico are very friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were both nice and were a good size for our family of four (we booked a quadruple room). The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very quiet. We all slept very well the two nights we were there.

There is a restaurant at the hotel and also several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We went on the ferry to the Island of Capri and the hotel shuttle took us to the ferry docks. The pool is large and there are plenty of lounge chairs and tables around the pool. Unfortunately, we did not have time to go to the beach, however, it did look very nice.

The breakfast was good with a great selection for everyone. This hotel is a few miles out of the heart of the city of Salerno, however, the shuttle service is very quick and easy to book and therefore it is no problem if you need to get to the city and do not have a car. Abbiamo trascorso con mia moglie e mio figlio 6 gg piacevolissimi.  L'albergo offre un elevato confort nonchè molti servizi gratuiti. La stanza tripla superior è molto ben curata dotata di tutti i confort (filodiffusione, aria condizionata, ampio TV lcd, frigo .. ecc.), inoltre tutto l'ambiente risulta molto tranquillo, la stanza è ben insonorizzata, molto spaziosa e con un comodo balcone oltre ad essere estremamente pulita abbiamo notato una particolare attenzione al cambio della biancheria.
La spiaggia riservata ai soli clienti rimane vicinissima all'albergo (basta attraversare la strada) è molto carina e offre 1 ombrellone e 2 lettini è dotata di doccie ed in più dispone di una piccola area di relax/sosta molto funzionale
Nel mio caso per i giorni dedicati alle gite nelle località del posto ho sempre usufruito del servizio navetta messo a disposizione dall'albergo sia per raggiungere il porto che per il rientro in albergo (servizio impeccabile sia come puntualità che nella professionalità e cortesia dell'autista sempre disponibile a dare utili indicazioni a chi ne avesse bisogno) personalmente l'ho ritenuto un servizio veramente utile che mi ha permesso di visitare nel più assoluto relax i vari luoghi turististici della zona senza la preoccupazione di come e dove parcheggiare l'auto che invece ho lasciato tranquillamente nel parcheggio dell'albergo. L'albergo è dotato di una grande piscina con idromassaggio molto pulita e curata circondata da piante ed aiuole ... veramente molto bella (di notte ancor di più!) inoltre avendo una parte con acqua bassa è adatta anche per i più piccoli che volendo possono disporre di un'area giochi a ridosso della piscina stessa.
Del servizio ristorazione io e la mia famiglia abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la colazione in quanto offriva di tutto, dalla frutta fresca ai dolci locali ... in sintesi avrei difficoltà ad elencare cosa mancava !! ; Da Trip Advisor Luglio 2011.

Actually our main point of interest was Amalfi coast, but we decided in favour of a more easy accessible place. And were absolutely satisfied. The hotel staff was very friendly. The transfer from hotel to harbour and back went perfectly in time. We did a one day visit to Capri and then another one day trip through Amalfi coast. In evenings we used to visit hotel’s swimming pool and enjoyed hotel’s restaurant. The food was really very good, the service – perfect. Rooms were modest, but clean. Nous avons trouvé l'hôtel par internet et nous ne sommes pas déçus, bien au contraire. Tout est parfait: le personnel très aimable et compétent, le restaurant en terrasse est très agréable, les repas sont copieux et délicieux, les chambres sont confortables, calmes, propres et la télévision avec 3 chaines françaises. La Wi-fii est gratuite ainsi que le parking sécurisé et gratuit. La navette fait de nombreuses rotations pour Salerne (train, bateaux et bus). Una struttura ben organizzata e provvista, oltre che di una qualità Superior, anche di tutti quegli Optionals che potrebbero venire alla mente.
Inoltre l'ambiente è tranquillo e ci si sente al sicuro.

Albergo accogliente, personale competente e disponibile. La camera superior spaziosa, pulita con un letto che si dormiva bene. Siamo rientrati due giorni fa da una breve vacanza all'hotel Olimpico, di solo 2 notti in quanto tappa conclusiva di un altro viaggio, ma ci è bastato un solo colpo d'occhio all'arrivo per capire che è un hotel in cui vale la pena tornare!!! Elegante, pulito, ben curato, con arredi nuovi e raffinati.... Ma la sorpresa piu' gradita....che mi fa venire l'acquolina al pensiero è stata la colazione... mai viste tante torte tutte insieme!!! Oltre ai normali alimenti da colazione, che sarebbero comunque già stati abbondanti, vengono proposti ogni mattina una serie di dolci tipo crostate o torte alle mandorle o altro, uno diverso dall'altro e uno più gustoso dell'altro... addio dieta!!!
Abbiamo scelto la camera standard, molto carina, spaziosa e luminosa, con mobili nuovi in ciliegio (armadio con faretti che si accendono all’apertura per illuminare i vestiti…), testiera del letto in pelle bianca (come quella dei divani…), senza terrazza ma con balcone che a mio avviso è più che sufficiente in quanto molto luminoso. Ho trovato l’hotel in internet e non conoscendo la zona, l’ho scelto un po’ a caso basandomi sulle foto e anche sulle recensioni che avevo letto preventivamente.
Ho fatto personalmente i complimenti ai gestori in quanto l'hotel è ancora migliore di quanto appare nel sito internet. A me piace molto viaggiare e di conseguenza ho soggiornato in diverse struttura situate in varie zone, ma credo di potermi sbilanciare a definire l’Hotel Olimpico uno dei migliori nel rapporto qualità prezzo, che unito all'estrema gentilezza dei proprietari, considero più che sufficienti per pensare ad un prossimo soggiorno. Da segnalare il servizio navetta offerto per la stazione e per il porto che rende molto agevoli gli spostamenti.

Das Hotel ist ideal für Urlauber, die viele Exkursionen z. B. nach Amalfi, Capri, Sorrent, Pompeji... machen wollen. Für Fahrten zum Hafen steht ein kostenloser Shuttleservice zur Verfügung. Die Abholung am Abend erfolgt pünktlich. Wir hatten während des gesamten Urlaubs einen Mietwagen - was sehr von Vorteil war. Das Hotel ist modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Das Personal ist durchwegs sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer werden täglich gut gereinigt. Die Handtücher werden täglich gewechselt. Auch im Außenbereich ist alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Zum Strand kann ich wenig sagen, da wir in der Vorsaison dort waren und das Strandbad seinen Betrieb noch nicht aufgenommen hatte. Das Frühstück war für uns völlig in Ordnung einschließlich frischem Obst, Joghurt und Kuchen - beim Kaffee muss aber dringend nachgebessert werden. Das Hotel liegt an einer viel befahrenen Straße, was uns nicht weiter beeinträchtigte, da wir Zimmer zur anderen Seite hatten. Zur Umgebung bleibt leider nur eines zu sagen - sie ist touristisch nicht vorhanden. Wer abends gerne durch die Straßen flaniert etc. ist hier leider fehl am Platz. Noch als kleiner Hinweis zum Schluss - man sollte einigermaßen gut englisch können, da an der Rezeption nur italienisch oder englisch gesprochen wird - dies gilt aber nach meinen Erfahrungen für die gesamte Gegend um die Amalfiküste. Absolut positiv zu vermerken ist auch der kostenlose WLAN-Anschluss, der sowohl in der Zimmern als auch am Pool hervorragend funktioniert. Trip Advisor June 2011

Abbiamo trascorso con altre famiglie soltanto una notte, purtroppo, all'Hotel Olimpico. Le camere sono pulite, moderne, con tv LCD, bagni puliti, colazione variegata ed abbondante, personale molto disponibile. We stayed 6 nights at the Hotel Olimpico beginning of May. We had a big room at the back of the Hotel. Better choice than the sea view as they could be a bit noisy. The main road passes next to the Hotel (about 50m). The Breakfast offers a great selection of fresh fruit everyday, nice bread , pastries, hot food etc. My children enjoyed the swimming pool, the tennis, the table tennis and the playing area everyday. The staff is very nice (receptionists, gardener, cleaning ladie and the bus drivers) THANK YOU.
The private beach is across the main road. A bit small and not very clean on each side.

This is a four start hotel at a very reasonalbe rate. It is what one would expect from a four star establishment. The hotel is a few miles from town, however that is not an issue. The hotel provides free transportation to town and the ferries to Amalfi, etc. Easy to take a day trip to Amlfii coastal towns (35 minute ferry ride). The restaurant across the street is also superb and very reasonable. This is a great hotel to use as a base for visiting Amalfi, Pompeii, etc without crowds and with a reasonable cost.

Sono rientrata stasera da un mini soggiorno in questo piccolo angolo di paradiso!!! Gentilezza cortesia da parte di tutto il personale sin dal primo istante alla reception nel momento di arrivo in hotel, per poi proseguire durante le colazioni il trasporto in navetta e durante le pulizie della stanza: si la signora addetta alla pulizia della camera ha avuto la pazienza di mostrarci nel dettaglio l'utilizzo di radio e accessori della stanza!!! Menzionavo il servizio navetta xchè credo di non aver mai trovato tanta disponibilità!!!

nous avons apprécié notre sejour à l'hotel Olimpico où nous sommes restés une semaine. Les équipements sont de bonne qualité, les chambres spacieuses et confortables, le petit dejeuner tres copieux avec des fruits frais en permanance. Une navette gratuite permet d'aller à Salerne ( 10KM). Piscine sur place et la plage en face, bien que l'eau soit encore fraiche fin avril. Le personnel est tres sympathique et tres professionnel, pret à repondre à toutes nos questions et à nous conseiller. On trouve de bon restaurants à proximité (Heaven en face et Giardiniello à quelques minutes). Bref je recommande vivement cet hotel pour un voyage en famille. Absolutely you can enjoy a resort hotel life here, has a pretty swimming pool besides very closed by the beach.
Approx. 10km distance from the Salerno station and you can book a free of charge shuttle bus very easily sending E-mail in advance.
I booked a standard single room but it was enough big for one person, actually double room single use, very clean and has a balcony eventhough on the ground floor.
Great breakfast meal, too much for breakfast!

Stayed at Hotel Olimpico one night while visiting the Amalfi Coast for a weekend in mid-March. The hotel is easy to find on the right-handside of the road when traveling from Salerno. Parking is easy-accessable on the backyard and free of charge. The hotel features a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. Due to the season I never had the opportunity to try it.

The staff is friendly and service-minded. Room were fresh and had good standard. Breakfast (included in the price) was also average/normal. Across the street is a seaside restaurant which did not look much from the outside. They served good food to a low price. I would definately recommend this hotel! The hotel is very well located. Just a 10 minutes from Salerno train station and very close to the bus station where buses from the dountown go. The atmosphere of the hotel is really pleasant and elegant. The staff was nice and friendly. The breakfast was also pretty good especially compared to others in Italy. Our room -we were upgraded to Deluxe room, - was spacious, and the bathroom was big and comfortable and also well equipped. The interior of the room is really nice too.

Siamo stati una notte io e la mia ragazza nella suite e devo dire che ci siamo trovati molto bene, la camera era caldissima e pulita e il personale molto disponibile, ho lasciato anche un opinione nella scheda dell'hotel con un appunto per la colazione (l'orario per la fine colazione era alle 9.30) secondo me era un pò presto e sono stato contattato via e-mail dal propietario che mi ha avvisato dicendomi che ha letto la recensione e la colazione è stata prolungata anche fino alle 10.30. Inoltre è presente la connessione wireless gratuita cosa che in molti hotel non c'è o è a pagamento.

Siamo stati in questo Hotel per una notte soltanto, e vi assicuro che saremmo voluti restare ancora un po'. Ho prenotato via mail, attraverso la reception stessa dell'Hotel scegliendo l'offerta di S.Valentino. Ho scelto la camera Standard: bella !!!!!! Se è' così bella la standard immagino le superior!!!!!!!!!!! Camera grande, un bel bagno grande, un balconcino, tv, un bel comò, un armadio, condizionatore...tutto quello che serve insomma!!! Et hotell som absolutt fortjener 4 stjerner. Hotellet hadde gode fasiliteter og god byggningsmessig standard. Rommene var rene med egne balkonger, og svømmebassenget passet både til barn og voksne. Det ble rengjort hver dag og var like fristende og bra som bildene viser. Frokosten innholdt ulike type mattilbud og betjeningen var fleksible ift tidspunktet for frokosten. Hotel molto curato e attento alle esigenze dei clienti. Le stanze, come tutto il resto, sono pulite e confortevoli.

Hotel is not too big, staff are really friendly and helpful with advice on getting to tourist attractions and the free shuttle bus offered an excellent service, but you do need to remember to book the bus the day before you want to travel and last bus back is 8pm.
The hotel is approx 15/20 mins from Salerno and the service bus stops right outside the hotel - last service bus at 8.10pm which means if you want to spend time in Salerno city in the evening it will cost approx 30 euro for a taxi one way. We didn't find this too much of a problem but it would have been nice to have been able to stay in the city a bit later in the evening - possibly the hotel may consider putting the last pick up with the shuttle bus a bit later, maybe 10pm ? We stayed 8 nights in a beautiful deluxe room with a comy bed in an annexe of the hotel and benefitted from having our own sunloungers as well as table and chairs on a lovely balcony which was almost as good as being in our own apartment. I never use such cliched words but this was a gem of a place. Just returned from our honeymoon in Italy coast this weekend.One week in the coast and one in Rome. Our stay in the Olimpico was near perfect. Normally I'm aware of so called 4* or 5* hotels which are more like 2* so we were pleasantly surprised by this place. It's quality but still with a welcoming feel unlike most of the big hotel chains which can sometimes be cold and unfeeling. The man & woman at the reception (at diff times) were both very helpful and suggesting places to visit.
The private beach was great, as was the pool were you cou.d also sit in the bar area and have a few drinks. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the off-season the day before we got there so had to get our lunch and dinner elsewere but the breakfast was still good. Our room was great with huge balcony , jacuzzi tub etc and was cleaned daily. The only advice though is to get a car.
This is a great place and it greatly deserves its 4* rating. To all the staff there as well as the owner. Thank you very much, you made our honeymoon one to remember for sure.

Hotel molto accogliente, molto bello anche l'arredo esterno,piscina e giardino.

Abbiamo trascorso in questo hotel 4 notti. La scelta è caduta su questa struttura dopo aver letto le recensioni di questo sito. L'hotel si trova a circa 10 km dal centro di Salerno. Lasciata la zona industriale si prosegue sulla strada litoranea verso sud che costeggia da una parte il mare e dall'altra abitazioni private, ristoranti e locali. A prima vista appare una zona poco raccomandabile ma noi non abbiamo avuto nessun tipo di problema.  L'hotel è un caseggiato degli anni 70 ma completamente ristrutturato con molta cura. Ampio il parcheggio, la cura dei giardini e degli spazi è maniacale. Le stanze sono arredate in modo semplice ma curato e la pulizia è impeccabile. E' presente una bella piscina con lettini e ombrelloni, anche questa molto pulita e ordinata. Nel prezzo della stanza (a nostro avviso più che adeguato ai servizi offerti) è compresa un'abbondante colazione a buffet usufruibile dalle 7.00 alle 10.00. Vasto assortimento di brioches fresche, frutta sia a pezzi (melone, ananas, pera, albicocche sciroppate...) che mista da sbucciare. Cereali, pane fresco, affettati, formaggi, profumatissimi pomodorini conditi, uova strapazzate, wurstel e torte assortite. Le bibite calde (caffè, cappuccino, latte...) sono self service da un distributore, non particolarmente buone ma passabili.
Per il pranzo (solo in estate) e per la cena si fa riferimento al ristorante di fronte all'hotel, il ristorante Heaven. Abbiamo cenato benissimo, porzioni abbondantissime. Il menù è composto da circa 5-7 antiparti, altrettanti primi e secondi perlopiù a base di pesce. Noi abbiamo ordinato un antipasto della casa da dividere in due ma dopo quello non siamo più riusciti a mangiare null'altro tanto era abbondante!!
Nonostante l'hotel sia in perifieria non è difficile raggiungere i vari luoghi d'interessse della zona. L'hotel dispone di un pulmino che a orari prestabiliti porta a Salerno da dove si possono prendere i traghetti o gli autobus per raggiungere la C

Wir waren im September im Hotel Olimpico. Das Hotel entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen. Beim Check-in brauchten wir nicht einmal die schriftliche Bestätigung vorzulegen. Sofort hatte er unseren Namen parat und wies uns ein Zimmer in der gebuchten Kategorie zu. Das Zimmer war zwar ziemlich klein, ebenso das Bad, und es gab nur einen Stuhl, aber alles war sauber und gepflegt. Der Balkon war sehr groß und mit Tisch und zwei Stühlen möbiliert. Das Zimmer wurde täglich sehr gut gereinigt, die Handtücher täglich gewechselt. Der Service im gesamten Haus war sehr gut. Der Hotelstrand ist sauber und gut mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen bestückt. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist nicht einladend, aber als Ausgangspunkt für die Touren und Besichtigungen ideal. Das Hotel bildet mit seiner Pool- und Gartenanlage eine Oase in dieser nicht attraktiven Umgebung. Im Hotel war es stets ruhig, nicht hellhörig, kein Lärm, keine Feiern, keine Animation. Herrlich. Das Auto parkte kostenlos auf dem Hotelparkplatz. Wir haben kostenlos den hoteleigenen Shuttlebus genutzt, der uns nach Salerno zum Hafen brachte und abends nach unserem Capri-Besuch dort wieder abholte. Das Frühstück war umfangreich, viel frisches Obst, Cornflakes, Milch, Joghurt, verschiedene Kuchen, Plundergebäck usw., Toast, Brot, Wurst, Käse, Rührei, gekochte Eier, Würstchenstücke, Marmelade, Honig, Kaffee, Tee, Säfte.

Un ottimo albergo nel quale trascorrere piacevoli vacanze con la famiglia. Situato in una posizione molto comoda, dalla quale si possono raggiungere tutti i luoghi incantevoli che caratterizzano quella zona, vedi Amalfi, Positani, Capri, ecc. Inoltre l'albergo offre a tutti i suoi cliente un servizio di navetta gratuito con mezzi propri della struttura per raggiungere stazione e porto. Provvisto di servizio bar, ottimo ristorante, affacciato sul mare e tutto il personale sempre cordiale, gentile e disponibile. Le stanze sempre ordinate e pulite. Lo consiglio a tutti quelli che desiderano trascorrere delle piacevoli vacanze con famiglia o amici e che vogliono allo stesso tempo visitare dei luoghi bellissimi.

Très bon rapport qualité prix, un personnel dévoué et sympathique. La liaison par l'hotel jusqu'au port de salernes par petit bus est particulièrement agréable Service soigné avec un petit déjeuner musclé et varié. Un pers. de restaurant agréable et une cuisine variée à portée de toutes les borses. Les cjambres sont spacieuses et très bien équipée et la tranquilite tant de jou que de nuit est parfaite.

Hidden behind a hedge, so close the beach is an excellent hotel with all the amenities. Rooms are more than comfortable with very good facilities. Free car parking is available' . Free internet access and the connection is fast and efficient. Restaurant is only opened in the high season and the food is excellent. Extremely experienced waiting staff that were very attentative, friendly and always smiling. Their knowledge was excellent.The seafood was superb. Snacks and light meals are always available from the bar and the bar personnel were a delight. Loved this hotel.

It is a 4-star hotel with 5-star service! I stayed for 3 days last week, and had a great time there. My room was fantastic - king bed, glass sliding doors with view of the sea, jacuzzi tub, 32" LCD TV, lovely breakfast buffet and a fantastic dinner menu. There was even a complimentary antipasto bar with only high quality, very tasty, hors d'oeuvre type of dishes at dinner. In addition, there is a free shuttle to and from the hotel, that will also take you back to the train station or port, so you can visit every island on the Amalfi coast or other cities in Italy. I must also mention there is a lovely pool and their own private beach. A great choice!

Just back from a 7 day stay in Hotel Olimpico, What a wonderful place. To Gaetano and all his staff a BIG thank you. The atmosphere in this hotel is one of Welcome.

Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia presso questa struttura dal 4 al 10 settembre 2010 e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto .La struttura è molto accogliente , i servizi molto soddisfacenti,a cominciare dal parcheggio interno gratuito ,dalla bella e ampia piscina,alla spiaggia privata difronte ,e sopratutto al servizio navetta gratuito offerto per raggiungere sia la stazione che gli imbarchi di Salerno,di cui io ho usufruito per visitare la costiera,Pompei,Caserta.
Il personale è molto professionale e simpatico,sempre disponibile per qualsisi necessità del cliente.Sembra quasi di conoscerlo da una vita.Le camere sono ben arredate ed accoglienti. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo.
E' stata una vacanza rilassante e coccolata.

Poco da dire riguardo questo Hotel a 4 stelle, sito sulla litoranea di Pontecagnano: una struttura ricettiva davvero ideale per chi intende trascorrere con spensieratezza dei giorni in una località balneare. Praticamente, nei quattro giorni di permanenza in hotel, è andato tutto alla grande. La posizione fantastica (di fronte al mare) e facilmente raggiungibile in auto, l'organizzazione dell'hotel (dotato di una bella piscina con zona idromassaggio, di campo da tennis, bocce e ping-pong usufruibili gratuitamente, servizio spiaggia privata incluso nel prezzo, efficiente servizio navetta da/per Salerno), la pulizia, le camere spaziose e ben accessoriate di ogni comfort, la colazione a buffet più che buona ed abbondante, il personale sempre gentile e diponibile, sono tutti fattori che rendono questo hotel davvero di categoria superiore.

Abbiamo passato un eccellente soggiorno : in pieno mese di agosto niente folla e attese. L'hotel è pulitissimo, la cucina curata , il maitre di sala simpatico e con una grande esperienza ! Piscina gradevole e pulita , anche se non molto grande. Accesso facile alla spiaggia, posti sempre disponibili. Parcheggio sicuro. Il personale è discreto e disponibile, per esempio noi siamo venuti con un cagnolino e il personale addetto alla pulizia delle camere ha fatto gentilmente attenzione al nostro compagno a 4 zampe ! Posizione pratica come punto di partenza per molte escursioni.

E' stato buon soggiorno, comodo hotel vicino al mare e comodissimo per visitare la Costiera Amalfitana. Tutto il personale è stato sempre molto gentile con noi ed ha avuto "molto pazienza" con il nostro piccolo bambino. Un elogio a tutti!

Abbiamo soggiornato all'hotel olimpico dal 10 a 15 luglio. Siamo stati veramente bene soprattutto grazia alla possibiltà di utilizzare gratuitamente tutte le strutrture sportive presenti nell'hotel dalla piscina, al campo da tennisi a tavolo da ping pong.Abbiamo trovato un personale disponible e a gentile.Buono il ristorante ed il personale di sala.
Inoltre per la collocazione geografica è stato agevole vistare la costiera amalfitana.
L'hotel ha anche , gratuito, un servizio navetta per gli imbarchi.

io e mia moglie abbiamo concluso le ns vacanze in questo hotel che ci siamo trovati di un bene in tutti i sensi, tutti gentili dalla reception ai camerieri dal personale delle
pulizie all'autista, si perchè c'è un servizio navetta che porta nei punti di partenza per traghetti e F.S. il quale ti consigliano come muoverti per vedere luoghi,monumenti,siti e tante altre cose.Un elogio particolare va allo chef che oltre alla buona cucina dava la sua disponibilità nel preparati qualcosa di diverso nel limite del possibile,fermo restando che sia pranzo che cena era alla carta quindi cosa chiedere di più. sicuramente dimentico delle cose, ma è stato tutto bello,qualcuno si domanderà niente che non andava,qulcosa c'è,, è che il clima in camera butta aria sul letto'sono cose rimediabili con un pò più di attenzione. Un merito va anche al direttore perchè se tutto va bene il merito è suo che ha trovato le persone giuste e farle saper dare il meglio di se stessi. Se andate e volete fare delle escursioni che c'è ne sono tante, chiedete di Giuseppe che è troppo gentile e sa consigliarvi il meglio .
